Course:
Yamashita Park – 3 Laps of City Center District ―Yamashita Park : 42.195 km (IAAF/AIMS certified)
Eligibility and Qualifying:
  1. Runner of 19 years or older on the race day who has registered to JAAF for the year 2009 or who can submit the IAAF Member Federation’s written approval according to the IAAF Rule 4.2. can enter the race.
    1. Runners must meet the designated time standard as follows. Qualifying times must be run on or after November 1, 2007 in races which have been certified by JAAF or foreign equivalent.
      1. (1) Marathon: 3 hours 15minutes
      2. (2) 30 km: 2 hours 10 minutes
      3. (3) Half marathon: 1 hour 25 minutes
    2. JAAF and Organizer reserve the right to reject any entry, issue special invitations for Elite Runners, cancel the race, expand or further the field or adjust the entry procedures.
Competition Rules:
  1. The race will be governed by the 2009 IAAF Competition Rules and Yokohama Women's Marathon Regulations.
  2. Due to reasons of traffic control, security and also race management, runners will not be allowed to continue to run after the cut-off times will pass at each check points. Runners will also be required to cease running at any places along the course other than the checkpoints if their progress is conspicuously slow.

¥5,000 per person
Entry Procedure:
Submit the Entry Form attached with the IAAF Member Federation’s or JAAF Member Association’s written approval to the secretariat by Thursday. September 3, 2009. Proof of qualification, such as a copy of finish certificate or result listing(non-returnable) are required to accompany entry.

Awards:
Top Eight Finishers and one promising Japanese runner will receive awards.
Others:
  1. Anti-doping control will be conducted under IAAF Rule.
  2. Distribution procedure of Number Bibs will be informed to each runner after entry confirmed.
  3. The organizers will not perform health checks for participating runners. Runners are responsible for taking care of their own health condition. The organizers will provide only first aid in case of accidents that might occur during the race, but will not be responsible for subsequent treatment. Japanese runners must bring their health insurance certificate (a copy will suffice) and runners of foreign nationals are requested to apply for insurance.
  4. Runners who will decide not to start the race before the race day are requested to submit the Withdraw Form to the secretariat. Even at the case entry-fee is non-refundable.
